Have you ever been curious about how you fit into society and how society shapes you? Are you interested in finding out the ways that our everyday lives and interactions are influenced by wider social patterns? Sociology courses at Montgomery College cover a range of topics like race & ethnicity, gender, family, sports, religion, aging, criminology, and social problems. Through these courses, you can develop a deep understanding of social institutions and their wide-ranging impact on individuals and groups. Sociology also offers students the tools to analyze and explore the roots and impact of social inequalities.
Program Advising
Academic advising helps students reach their educational and career goals. Meet with your academic advisor regularly to discuss your academic plans and make sure you are on track to graduate and/or transfer.
