Our Faculty & Staff
All of our faculty—credit and noncredit, full-time and part-time, on campus and online—embrace the Montgomery College mission to provide educational excellence in a flexible learning environment so that students can meet their goals.
We have more than 500 full-time instructional faculty, 945 part-time instructional faculty, and 240 Workforce Development and Continuing Education faculty. These instructors are dedicated to empowering our students with the knowledge they will need to lead successful lives. And more than 800 staff members, including library staff, lab managers, and advisors who directly serve our students.
With a student-faculty ratio of 17:1, students don't just attend lectures—they can interact with and ask questions of their teachers both in person and online.
As a result, students and faculty work together to customize a learning experience that meets the individual needs of each student.
Furthermore, Montgomery College's faculty are experts in their fields—40 percent of MC's full-time instructional faculty held doctoral degrees. The strength of MC's impressive faculty members is clear in the number of faculty with doctorates, industry credentials, and professional certifications. Their range of extensive workplace and professional experience, as well as their connection with our community and with employers, underscore how Montgomery College faculty are in a prime position to help students achieve their college and career goals.

Staff of the Year Award
Each year the College recognizes staff who exemplify excellence and serve as role models to others through the annual Staff of the Year Awards. Staff members are nominated by their colleagues. This is an especially challenging endeavor as there is only one award recipient and so many nominees that are well-deserving of this recognition. Congratulations to our past recipients.
