  • REFLECT on your academic, career and personal goals, and your program requirements;
  • CONNECT with a program advisor or counselor to review your ideas for your plan;
  • RECORD your plan in an easy, fillable, savable online form

Academic planning is an important part of your college experience. Creating and maintaining an academic plan helps you track your progress through your General Studies degree at Montgomery College. The Student Academic Plan for Completion, or SAP-C, is an interactive tool you can use to chart which classes to take each semester at MC. You can organize one semester at a time or map out several semesters in advance to stay on track for graduation and either transfer or start your career.

Your plan will include courses needed to meet graduation requirements for your General Studies major, such as General Education requirements, program requirements, and electives. You can update and adapt your plan as you go and save your progress each time you submit it. While you can work with a program advisor or counselor to review your plan for accuracy, your academic plan is ultimately yours to manage and maintain.

Consult the following sections to help you begin, update or complete your academic plan using SAP-C.
