Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Grants

HEERF I (CARES Act), HEERF II (CRRSAA), and HEERF III (ARPA) Funding
Students: Request Emergency Financial Assistance

We are distributing federal funds to students to help cover emergency costs related to the coronavirus pandemic. The money can be used for food, housing, health care, child care, tuition, or other school-related fees and expenses. Most MC students are eligible.

Through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), the U.S. Department of Education provides funding to colleges and universities to ensure learning continues for students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Montgomery College has received HEERF grants through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

HEERF I: CARES Act Reporting

Montgomery College’s CARES Act HEERF grant is $10,995,749 with an additional $44,677 in grant funding as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI).

HEERF II: CRRSAA Reporting

Montgomery College's CRRSAA HEERF II grant is $23,080,761, with an additional $85,134 in grant funding as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI).

HEERF III: ARPA Reporting

Montgomery College's ARPA HEERF III grant is $40,503,407, with additional funding as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI).
