Student Opportunities
MCTV offers a one of a kind, dynamic and exciting television production experience to students enrolled in the Media Arts Technologies program and other related programs (Computer Science, Music, etc.) at Montgomery College. This paid production aide position will combine intensive media production training with real-life experience to provide a unique opportunity to those who are dedicated to furthering their media career goals. Studio, Electronic News Gathering, Electronic Field Production, Graphic Design, Editing, Digital Media Applications and other opportunities are available throughout each semester in a variety of crew positions.

- Guest lectures and much more
To be considered for employment: students must be taking a minimum of six credits, 12 if a Federal Work Study student, be available to work in a 4-hour (or more) block of time, and work a minimum of 12 hours per week. This is a competitive opportunity; only 8 students will be hired to work with MCTV per year. Students must demonstrate a high level of commitment and growth in their overall performance, and may be employed by MCTV for up to five semesters. Employment is dependent upon the student’s ability to meet the academic and general attendance requirements and a successful interview with the MCTV Student Program Manager.
Student applications will be accepted primarily the first two weeks of the semester with some opportunities throughout the year.
