Montgomery College (MC) and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) have announced a new partnership and articulation agreement that provides direct transfer opportunities between the two institutions, in the spirit of academic cooperation.
Under the agreement, students from Montgomery College will be able to transfer up to 90 credits and complete their bachelor’s degree online with Southern New Hampshire University.
As SNHU is a regionally-accredited institution, all academic coursework in which students earn a grade of “C minus” or higher is fully transferable based on course equivalents.
Through the partnership, SNHU guarantees transferability of all eligible credits earned in the following MC associate degree programs to the corresponding SNHU bachelor’s degree:
- AA Business to BS Business Administration
- AAS Criminal Justice to BS Criminal Justice
- AA General Studies to BS Criminal Justice
- AS Nursing to BS Nursing
- AAS HIM to BS HIM
- AAS Diagnostic Medical Sonography to BS Health Sciences
- AAS PT Assistant to BS Health Sciences
- AAS Radiology to BS Health Sciences
- AAS Surgical Technology to BS Health Sciences
“Our new partnership with one of the leading online universities, Southern New Hampshire University, aligns perfectly with Montgomery College’s goals to provide more online learning opportunities for our students, and to help our graduates achieve a seamless transfer,” Dr. Sanjay Rai, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Montgomery College. “This is an important agreement that focuses on access and student success. We are always pleased to build new bridges with four-year institutions and to assist our students in moving on toward the completion of their baccalaureate degree.”
Based on the agreement, MC alumni, employees and immediate family members of employees –spouses, domestic partners, children, siblings, and parents – will receive a 10 percent tuition reduction for SNHU’s online programs. If they enroll in an SNHU graduate program, they will also receive an application fee waiver.
“At SNHU, we partner with a number of community colleges across the country to help students continue their education, and we’re proud to be teaming up with Montgomery College,” said Greg Fowler, President of Global Campus, SNHU. “Through this new partnership, thousands of learners will have the opportunity to seamlessly transfer their credits to SNHU and continue on their educational journey.”
