The Women’s and Gender Studies Program is hosting their Silent Auction and Open House in the Theatre Arts Arena on the Rockville Campus on November 17th, 2023. This event is a fundraiser for the WGSP Scholarships that honor the achievements of MC students and an opportunity for community building as well as program promotion. Past items for the Silent Auction have included everything from beautiful jewelry and handwoven textiles to original pieces of art and pottery and tickets to local events. Over the years, this event has raised thousands of dollars for the student scholarship fund, thanks to the generous support of many members of our community. We thank you so much for your contributions!

This year, we once again are requesting contributions of goods and services to the silent auction. Perhaps you have a hand-crafted item, or you are willing to contribute your time and services to some lucky bidder, or you have corporate contacts who would be willing to donate goods or services. Perhaps you were given a lovely gift that you cannot use but others might treasure. If you are interested in donating items to the silent auction, please drop them off at the locations listed below and fill out the Donor Formnew window. Please note that we are not able to accept large or heavy items like furniture or large pieces of art. Please also deliver donated items no later than November 10th.
