Speaker Biography

Dr. Tait Kellogg

Tait Kellogg, PhD is on a mission to make everyone in higher education feel like a data person.

Tait is currently the consulting project manager on the Joint Statement on Analytics (www.changewithanalytics.com), a partnership between the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), EDUCAUSE and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The result of this grant will be a guide of 16 step-by-step resources for taking action around building a data culture across the institution, scheduled for release in August 2024.

Description: How to Build a Data Culture at Your Institution

Higher education leaders increasingly see the benefits of empowering staff across the institution to make data-informed decisions. Yet, getting data out of a spreadsheet and into the meetings where decisions are being made takes strategic vision, buy-in, and data literacy. In short, it takes changing people – and (perhaps you’ve noticed?) people can be hard to change. Join our keynote speaker, Dr. Tait Kellogg, as she talks about strategic steps for building an institution-wide data culture.
