Dr. Alice Santoro
Dr. Santoro has over 25 years of experience in higher education. She started as the associate dean of student affairs on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus as an administrative associate in 2018 before being appointed to the role in 2020. In this role, she assists with managing the student code of conduct area, serves as chair of the TPSS Behavioral Intervention Team, provides leadership for the New Student Orientation program, and supports the collegewide dean of student engagement and Takoma Park/Silver Spring student affairs as needed.
Dr. Santoro’s background includes public safety leadership, emergency preparedness, academic advising, counseling, and teaching. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector working in psychiatric rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and providing leadership as a board member for a local organization.
Dr. Santoro earned an associate’s degree in emergency preparedness from Montgomery College, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Trinity University in Washington, D.C., a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bowie State University, and a doctorate in educational leadership and management from Drexel University with a concentration in higher education.
