Drop off your mail-in ballot at one of these campus locations:
  • Rockville: Entrance to Student Services Building
  • Germantown: Entrance to Bioscience Education Building
  • Takoma Park/Silver Spring: Entrance to Student Services Building near the North Pavilion

MC Votes is a working group of faculty, staff, and students encouraging voter education and engagement at Montgomery College. MC Votes implements the College’s voter engagement plan (PDF, Get Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader - Link opens in new window) and meets frequently to support collaboration and cross-promotion of voter education and engagement at MC. Anyone is welcome!

MC Students Help Get Out the Vote

Watch a Voice of America storynew window, featuring MC students who held a mock presidential election. The students, among the youngest voters taking part in the U.S. presidential election, are called Gen Z. They range in age from roughly 18 to 27 years old. From learning how to vote, to soliciting support door to door, they are embracing the civic process of voting.


Ways to Vote

Early Voting

Thursday, October 24 through Thursday, October 31 (including Saturday and Sunday) , 7 a.m.–8 pm.

Vote by Mail

Any registered voter may vote by mail-in ballot. You don't need a reason to vote by mail-in ballot. It's another way to vote if you don't want to or can't go to an early voting center or your polling place. Get more informationnew window or Request a mail-in ballotnew window. Vote on Election Day

On election day, Tuesday, November 5, you must vote at your assigned polling place. All election day polling places are open continuously from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Quick guide (PDF, Get Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader - Link opens in new window) .
