Both Parker v. State of Delaware and Griffin v. State of Maryland focus on issues of the authentication of social media evidence. In Delaware, the Superior Court ruled that social media evidence can be authenticated based on content while in Maryland, the Court required a restrictive method. The Delaware approach is more appropriate for authentication because it improves the efficiency of the criminal justice system.
