The Impact of Divorce on Children
Student Illustrator: Alvin Hidayat
Student Author: Melissa Nick
Divorce is a life event that many people may undergo as a parent or child of divorce. This paper looks at how children of divorce are affected in their personal lives. The impacts, in summation, are a mix of being either positive or negatively impacting the involved children of divorce. The effects are not strong predictors to the overall outcome of the child but divorce effects numerous facets of a child’s development in the family. The child's academic performance, emotional well-being, and social relations are the three main themes identified and discussed.
