Culture Shock Analysis: A Move to Lagos
Student Illustrator: Renata Golden
Student Author: Ande Diedjomahor
Imagine drastic resocialization at the age of 10. A Move to Lagos takes a look at my experience moving across the globe, from New Orleans, LA to Lagos, Nigeria. I explore culture relativism in the face of ethnocentrism and how I developed resilience and culture sensitivity when thrust into a new culture, complete with different clothing, foods languages, norms and taboos.
This is part of the Annual Poster Session, a collaboration between the Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice Department and the Media Arts and Technologies Department, featuring work by social science and illustration students.
